About The Event
In this one day workshop, you and your partner will learn skills to help one another relax and relieve intermittent discomfort at home or away from home, in between your sessions with your professional therapist.
We will go over basic anatomy to give you an understanding of the large muscle groups that contribute to common tension patterns, hands-on skills in assistive stretching and massage to alleviate these patterns, and other techniques to aid in relaxation all the while perfecting our communication. You and your partner will have the opportunity to address your personal goals one-on-one, while participating in a group instruction. Pairs can be couples (married, dating, etc.), friends, or family.
This workshop is designed to give basic understanding to provide help when needed but not to substitute regular therapy or tissue work.
